The Computer Engineering (English) undergraduate program admitted its first students and started its education in the Fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year. The department has laboratories where students can apply their theoretical knowledge.
Computer Engineering is a significant branch of engineering that combines and integrates many fields of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering that are required for the hardware and software implementations (solving problems and designing hardware-and-software interfaces). Computer Engineering also deals with designing, developing and operating computer systems while concentrating on digital hardware devices and computers, and the software that controls them. The teaching staff and students in this department can take place at every point where a computer exists and/or the problem solving is a need.

Our department, which started undergraduate education in the fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year by taking its first students, aims to train Computer Engineers who are versatile, dynamic, can produce solutions without fearing the problems, keep their knowledge always fresh, follow developments closely, and have caught up the world standards.

Admission Requirements
1 - The registration of students placed in or admitted to undergraduate programs is carried out by the "International Relations Office" (IRO) on the dates indicated in the academic calendar.
2 - The below-mentioned requirements are sought for the finalization of the enrollment of students to the university:
--> (a) Holding a document certifying that the student is qualified to receive a diploma from a high school or an institution, in the country or abroad, which is recognized as the equivalent of a high school by the Ministry of Education.
--> (b) Fulfilling the provisions regarding tuition and education fees.
--> (c) For international students, not having a student visa problem.
--> (d) Fulfilling other requirements as announced by the University.
3 - Only the originals of the documents required for registration, or their approved copies upon presentation to the University are accepted. Regarding compulsory military service and judicial records, the application is processed based on the candidate’s declaration. In case students who have earned the right for registration with false or misleading declarations and documents are detected, they will not be registered. If they have already been registered, the registration will be cancelled regardless of the semester they are in, all documents issued to them, including diplomas, will be declared null and void, and legal action will be taken against them. Those in this position are deemed not to have earned a student status and cannot enjoy any rights granted to students in the future.
4 - Those students who have completed registration procedures are provided with a student ID card. The ID cards contain personal information about students.
5 - Those who have not completed their registration within the declared period are deemed to have waived their student rights and thereafter may not claim any of those rights.

Higher Grade Transition
|
Upon successful completion of undergraduate program from the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences in Alanya University, candidates may study graduate programs on condition that they get a sufficient grade in the "Examination for Postgraduate Study and Academic Staff" (ALES) and have a sufficient level of English language skills.

Graduation Requirements
|
Students must successfully complete all of the existing courses "with a total of 240 ECTS and 160 local credits" in the curriculum, must be successful in their internship works that are a minimum of 60 work-days totally in the summer semesters of the second (2nd) and third (3rd) years, and must successfully complete the graduation project to complete their undergraduate education consisting of eight semesters. Besides, a weighted average grade of at least "2.00" must be obtained over "4.00" and passing grades must be taken from the internship reports prepared.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students of the Department of Computer Engineering will be able to work in the sector as a database specialist, application programmer, web designer, web/mobile programmer, network specialist, software developer or project coordinator or as a freelancer by taking courses such as database management systems, programming languages, web/mobile programming, data communication and computer networks, project design, software engineering and software project management in the curriculum.
Our students will also have chance to specialize in different career areas by conducting projects in the courses such as computer graphics, image processing, data mining, artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks, machine learning and data science, and take various elective courses based on their areas of interest.
We aim to train successful Computer Engineers who want to take part in the sector and/or progress academically with our competent teaching staff who have focused on teaching and researching with the academy and field experience. Apart from the senior design project, we plan to prepare our students for professional life last year with profession seminars and career preparation study.
