(3) In the evaluation of the letter grade, the student's success in midterm exams, final exams, semester studies and attendance to courses and practices are taken into consideration.
(4) The courses to be given exemption exams, the conditions required for exemption and the application principles are determined by the Senate upon the proposal of the relevant academic board.

5) I (incomplete) grade is given to students who cannot complete the requirements for the course at the end of the semester for a valid reason accepted by the instructor. The I grade must be converted into a letter grade within one week from the last date of the semester grades. However, in special cases, this period can be extended until the     start     date of the next semester's interactive registrations at the latest and it must be converted into a letter grade at the end of this period. These procedures in special cases are carried out with the recommendation of the head of the department where the course is given and the decision of the faculty board of directors to which that department is affiliated. An I grade that is not converted into a letter grade within the deadline automatically turns into an FF or U grade. The dates related to the I grade are specified in the academic calendar.
